International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is a test of English language proficiency that is required to be taken by non-native students for study in country where the medium of instruction is English. IELTS is accepted by most of the Australian, Canadian, British, New Zealand, European and American academic institutions. It is jointly managed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations, British Council and IDP Education Australia. Candidates choose either the Academic Module (to enroll in higher education or universities) or General Training Module (to gain work experience or for immigration purposes) of the IELTS. The score value is valid up to 2 years.
